The director wanted electronics magazines for the actors to work with but we couldn’t use any images of any real electronics from that era, for legal and clearance reasons.
So I found ways around clearance issues by using clever copy to explain other types of images and photoshopping weird gadgets from other periods to make them fit the aesthetic requested.
